The Spring 2021 soccer season is fast approaching, and we’re excited to get out and play. Town U06-U14 is anticipated to begin on Sunday April 18th including U04 Shooting Stars. We will provide updates if those dates get pushed out. Our fields will most likely be closed until April 4th. We will update everyone on field availability once the field is opened.
Meanwhile, we wanted to provide a few updates:
- SSC follows COVID-19 protocols established by MassYouth Soccer (mayouthsoccer.org). We ask that all families review this information at this link. SSC will be summarizing requirements for coaches, families and players as the start date approaches.
- We are still in the process of assigning Town players. You should be hearing about your child's team placement by April 1st.
- If your child is returning from the Fall 2020 season, every effort has been made to place them on their previous team. However, there may be rare and extenuating circumstances which necessitated a move to another team. Therefore, please make note of your coach's name and contact information when you are contacted.
- Schedules will be posted online shortly after teams are announced.
- All Town U06-U14 players will require uniforms to play, consisting of a BLUE Home jersey, a WHITE Away jersey, blue shorts, blue socks, shin guards, and soccer cleats. The jerseys, shorts and socks may be purchased at soccer.com using this link: https://www.soccer.com/club/#/search
- PLEASE NOTE: Under Armour is no longer stocking this uniform as of April 2021, and SSC will be switching to a new uniform starting in the Fall.
- Town Teams and Players will not be individually listed on the soccer.com website.
- All uniforms should be ordered as soon as possible to guarantee arrival prior to the start of the Spring season.
- All Town players will need to order the following items:
- One Under Armour Blue Locker T-Shirt
- One Under Armour White Locker T-Shirt
- One pair of Under Armour Threadborne Blue shorts
- One pair of Under Armour Blue socks
- Uniform sizes run small.
- U04 Shooting Stars do not need to order a uniform

- Uniform requirements (jerseys, shin guards required, only soccer cleats allowed -no baseball/football footwear)
- Remember - on game day, parents and family members should sit on the opposite side of the field from the players, and do not sit behind the goal areas. For your (and the children's) safety, please sit six feet away from the sideline.
- Please be respectful of properties surrounding the field when parking.
- Families should also read about the Rules of Play to learn more about the games and what referees are looking for. Please note – some rules may need to be adjusted because of COVID-19. We will inform families of these changes as the season approaches.
